We pointed the car south and headed for Glendale – another road trip. This trip was just down to Southern California- always a favorite place to go bringing with it many memories as we had lived in Pasadena and San Clemente and had friends and relatives in both. This trip was a destination trip headed to the annual Armenian convocation- a gathering each July of the Knights and Daughters of Vartan, the cultural side of the Armenian people here in the USA. Nancy’s father had been involved with this group for his entire life as had his father before him and Nancy has been involved in one way or another from an early age as well. Lots of meeting, lots of good food and social hours with old and new friends from all across the country.  When I met and married Nancy I knew that the Armenian culture was an important part of her life.
