Sooo – Nancy and I are taking a couple of days off to relax and recharge at the Beach in Cambria CA and we are staying at the quaint little Fireside Inn – for breakfast we found a nice little place we hadn’t tried before.

There are quite a few good restaurants in the town of Cambria – this morning we decided on Linn’s – now we had seen Linn’s many times in the past walking around town -we thought it was more of a bakery than a place to get a good breakfast – were we ever wrong.

First off, the decor was inviting – the layout not crowded, and the service was extraordinary. The menu looked like it had everything any reasonable breakfast lover would want and then some! There are a few items that I love for breakfast and superb Corned Beef Hash is one thing I rarely find made very well and sometimes it outright tastes like it just came from a can or freezer and not really worth talking about let alone ever ordering again.

When I see Corned Beef Hash on the Menu in a place that I think just might – maybe if I’m lucky, actually have Corned Beef Hash worth eating – I ask the server about it – first Question – is it home made?

The server hit it right the first time – “My Favorite Meal here for Breakfast” – we make it ourselves each day – My mouth was watering and she didn’t even need to tell me about the Scone with warm lemon curd and Olallieberry topping that came with it – but when it came I all but licked the plate as I finished it up and was waiting for my next delight – Corned Beef Hash – It came out steaming on a plate of visual delight – I knew I had stumbled across something magical – just looking at it I could tell it was made fresh that morning – This is most likely the Best Corned Beef Hash I have ever eaten – Just right – Large pieces of Corned Beef – not chunks, but envision “Pieces cut off the piece of Corned Beef sitting on the cutting board in the back kitchen”- Red Onions – (who knew that would give it such good depth) and their own house made Hash Potatoes all mixed up in a delightful hash that looked as good as it tasted – add two perfectly poached eggs and I was in food heaven- again I was temped to lick the Plate. Don’t miss Linn’s if you are in Cambria – Tell Arron that Todd sent you – I promise it will not disappoint you if you try it.
