One of my favorite Chinese Restaurants not just because it’s in Kingsburg and close to my office- it’s just really that good. Nancy and I eat there at least once a month for lunch when we are in town and actually take a break from work for lunch. 9 out of 10 times I order the Kung POW Chicken - they use red, orange and yellow bell peppers instead of green (I ask for that) I just like the taste better. Sometimes I get the meal with just the fried rice sometimes I get Lo main sometimes I get both - they are very accommodating. The lunch comes with a cup of egg drop soup to start an the meal itself is more than I can normally eat so I end up with dinner that night or a lunch the next day. I recommend this restaurant highly- the staff is friendly and the service quick and professional and price point is under $10 for lunch

Dinner in Monterey- 21 people- Great Food - Stokes Adobe - A fun Restaurant a few blocks up the street from our Hotel - The Portola. We started the evening with Olives, Crispy Potatoes (a must) and a delicious salad of greens with an amazing vinaigrette dressing and the main course of Papparadelle Bolognese. What a great evening- friends, family amazing food and the weather was perfect - highly recommend “Stokes Adobe”

The weekend in Monterey and Carmel was relaxing and Fun - it was a wedding of one of Nancy’s cousins at the Mission in Carmel - the Basilica is an amazing place to get married. We had visited a number of times in the past on visitor tours but this was special - it’s an historical part of the State of California- if you are ever in the area it should be on your bucket list. After the wedding we all went back to the Portola Hotel in Monterey where we were staying and took naps or went for walks - the three shuttle buses showed up at 5:30 and ran back and forth all evening. The Country Club is up in the hills overlooking Carmel and Camel Bay - the route winds through miles of tree lined roads until you finally get to the top and it’s - Amazing - absolutely beautiful and very private. Every part of the facility is first class and no expense was spared. Open bar(s) all night and hors d’oeuvres for the first hour while all of the guest were arriving- the outdoor patio was enormous and the views were 360 degrees of the Carmel Bay and the Golf course. Meals of course were perfect and it was all in all a perfect night. Highly recommended for any special event
